Walima Cafe

I think everyone should try sometime new. I've made a pact this summer to do different things go different places and eat different things.
My first thing I've manage to check off my summer bucket list was Moroccan food.
I've been longing to try it for a while, especially tajine.
Yesterday I went to Walima Cafe  on Avenue Road.
The mint tea was amazing, simple and sweet and came in the cutest teapot ever!
The food was so tasty the amount of herbs and spices and the lamb just fell of the bone and melted in my mouth.
I definitely want to eat here again. The experience was great.

7 Souls

Author: Barnabas Miller
Stars: 4 out of 5

Back of the Book
Mary expected her seventeenth birthday to be a blowout to remember, courtesy of her best friends, fellow New York City prepsters Amy and Joon, and her doting boyfriend, Trick.
Instead, the day starts badly and gets worse. After waking up in a mortifying place with a massive, unexplainable hangover, Mary soon discovers that nobody at school is even aware that it's her birthday. As evening approaches, paranoia sets in. Mary just can't shake the feeling that someone is out to get her—and, as it turns out, she's right. Before the night is over, she's been killed in cold blood.
But murder is just the beginning of Mary's ordeal. Her soul gets trapped in a strange limbo, and she must relive the day of her death through the eyes of seven people—each of whom, she finds, had plenty of reasons to hate her. As Mary explores the mysteries of her world, discovering secrets that were hidden in plain sight while she was alive, she clings desperately to the hope that she can solve her own murder, change the past, and—just maybe—save her own life.

My Review
Mary wakes up, but as someone else. Scott whom she uses to get homework answers from, she relives the day she dies but from Scotts perspective. She also learns that in Scotts bag she had tape and rope that was used to hang Joon that deadly night. Is Scott the killer?Mary wakes up as Joon, Dylan, Patrick herself and Ellen (her sister). These people are all apart of a ritual of 7 souls that take part in humiliating, betraying and ridding their life of this person. In this case it's Mary, she learns about how she affected the people she once thought of as close friends and family and how much they truly hate her. To Mary surprise she learns how to be selfless and help the people she has affected most in her life.

Mary wakes up in a strange bed and beyond display naked for the world to see. It's her birthday and she can't remember how she got there and who she was with last night. The rest of the day none of her friends remember her birthday, her bf breaks up with her and to top it off she has some strange marks on her back of three lines moving diagonal. Also Mary keeps seeing weird shadows and visions of a house.
Later Mary is surprised by her bf with a surprise party that soon turns scary and deadly. One of the guys brings a guy and is asked to leave the party, which her bff leaves with. Mary soon receives a text from her bff Joon to help her. When Mary arrives at the location Joon is at with her other BFF Amy she realizes this is the place she has been seeing all day in her visions. Someone is out to get Mary but before Mary can figure out who it is she is shot in the head.

The ending is not what you would expect, what happens to Mary started 10 years ago when her father died and their lives changed forever. SPOILER ALERT!!! Ellen is the person that shoots Mary in the head and was also the ring leader for the scheme.

Everything Insalata

My everything salad when there's nothing to eat and everything to eat. When you can't make a decision on what to put in your salad. It started out as a Greek salad and transformed from there. NOM NOM the best part is digging into this salad.
Currently watching the world cup on my day off and working out talk about multi-tasking.
Have a good day.

Run Or Dye

Our day started bright and early on the road. It was 1 hour drive to Albion Hills conservation where the run was held. This is the line up to get into the conservation. It went through the downtown of Bolton and over two hills. It took us an hour to finally get into the site.
The three pictures below are before the race when we were clean and COLOURLESS!

5K later we emerge looking like parrots, colourful and smiling. There were soo many people of all ages and even strollers. It was insane and I would do this again next year. Our post run meal was at our fav viet stop we had pad thai.

Buffalo pick me ups

Cute t-shirt from Loveculture
A couple weeks back I went to Buffalo to do some summer shopping. I've been saving up since school ended. There are a couple stores that we dont have in Canada that I love like Love Culture and Pacsun. I kinda went crazy when we got there. Here are some of the things that I got, I can't wait to wear them this summer. There were a lot of really great deals and the best part there was no tax! I definitely can't find some of these items in Toronto of for the same price. I don't think I plan on doing much more shopping for summer clothes. I think I got enough of everything to satisfy my clothing cravings for now. Thanks for reading

Tropical Gradient

This mani reminds me of parrots in South America where my parents grew up. This mani is very eye catching and simple to recreate. Just paint on the colours onto a wedge sponge and sponge onto your nails. When I first saw this gradient years ago it looked hard but its really easy, it just can be a pain to clean sometimes. Thanks for reading.

Figuring Shit Out

My current state of affairs.
Trying to figure out my future, finances and relaxing at the same time. Not a easy feat. To help I have my ice coffee handy and some light reading when my brain can no longer function. So much for a slow and simple day off.

Wow literally two minutes later.

Bi-polar weather of Toronto hope your having a better day than me. Happy Tuesday.

Deborah Lippmann Best of Both World Pop Rock Mini Duet Set

I recently received this Deborah Lippmann set as a late birthday present. This is the pop rock duo set with a beautiful barbie cream pink and a sparkly nail polish that looks like the case. Its a cute funkt and colourful set. Deborah Lippmann is known for bold colours that last long and don't chip as fast as normal drug store nail polish would.
My first thoughts when i tried the set was the colour was amazing i used two coats to reach full opacity. Where i work I constantly used my hands so that was the chip resistance test, I worked two shifts before I saw a chip compared to  drug store where it occurs within the first hour.
Overall a cute set
