I'm back and with a review from BooHoo. I've seen these booties online everywhere and i had to get my hands on a pair. BooHoo gives the latest trends in Europe which is ahead in fashion compared to north america. I got these babies for $40 which is a steal. There are comfy and I can dress them up or down based on the place or event I'm attending. Boohoo has easily become one of my favorite online stores, for any event I'm attending or simply feeling the urge to shop this is the first place I head to find the latest trends.

Cute packaging
Quick post today.
I love how Aritzia packages their shipments. One of the cutest and unique packages I've gotten thus far. This is from a couple weeks ago when Aritzia had their end of summer sale. One of their best sales I might add lots of nice things and for really good prices and the best part they almost always have sizes. Thats it for today. It's pretty grey out and I have to go to work .... sucks but what are you going to do.

The Last of Summer . . . The CNE
Always a tradition to end of summer and the sign of the start of school. The cne which is a carnival of games and ride and everything deep fried and dripping that saturated goodness. Long weekend is the best time to go every thought it is jam packed there is lots to do and see, plus an airshow right above.
Recently with the start of school I've had no time for anything, I barely sleep if thats a sign, and I got sick right after I went. Hopefully I'm back up and running by next week.

Triangle Cutout
These nails were inspired by Kylie Jenners cutout triangle nails below.
But I added a twist to mine and made it colouful for the last days of summer. I used striping tape for the thumb and a pink stripper for the rest.
I got the best lighting this morning while I was enjoying my tea on the porch.

Back to School Wishllist
With back to school around the corner or in most cases in Canada 3 WEEKS! WHERE DID SUMMER GO! It felt like only yesterday I ran out of school saying seeya in September.
Sigh* but anyways its that time of the year, so in the spirit of things I decided to do my back to school wishlist.
I think this is a fun way to add things to your closet and everyday life, that you can save up for.
First lets starts with cosmetic.
1. Philosophy Purity face cleanser
I've been looking for a good cleanser to go with my clarisonic
and that is not for acne prone skin, as thankfully I'm out of that phase.
2. Marc Jacobs Dot Perfume
I loved the sample that I got.
I want to add to to my collection plus its good to smell good
3. MUFE Rouge Artist lipstick #44
I've been eyeing this lipstick for a long time.
I have yet to own a red lipstick and every girl should own one
|
|
4. Sigma Pencil Brush I want this brush for it's precision in applying colour to a cut crease |
Next we move on to fitness and nutrition
5. Shredz fat burner
I have yet to find if it can ship to Canada or not.
This will help to further my toning and shaping of my body
6. Matefit Detox Tea
I've always wanted to try a detox
Plus this will be perfect when I start that hectic school schedule and will not be able to eat right all the time
Fashion
Probably the best part of the changing season and one of the reasons why Fall is my fav season
7. Denim Joggers Pacsun
A staple item for the fall
The only problem I can't find them in Canada yet.
8. Red lumberjack Plaid shirt from Garage
Plaid = Fall . . . Nuff said
9. Military Jacket from Ariztia
Perfect for transitioning from warm days into cool nights
Great for a layered thrown together look
9. Aldo booties
Must have for every girls wardrobe for fall
Boots are essential for this season
| Ankle booties from Aldo |
Leather says fall so why not have them on your shoes
Staple piece for fall and your closet.
These will go with any outfit
| Booties from Aldo |
There we have it, my back to school wishlist and must-haves.

DIY Plate Stand
TGIF peeps!
Too bad I still have to go to work, Fridays just don't feel the same.
Anyways back to the post I've been wanting to do this DIY from since a year ago but only this summer I made it my mission to do one of my diy's from my list of diy's to do.
I really liked how this looks and you can go for any style from funky and tribal to classy and sophisticated.
I decided to have a theme of gold and white to compliment my room (which I hope to repaint soon)
I got all of the plates and candle sticks from the thrift store. I used Gorilla glue to hold everything in place.
I really liked how to look turned and I've gotten a lot of compliments from friends and family.
Lately I've been trying to organize my jewelry and makeup lately, so stay tuned for more organization tips and ideas.
Thanks for reading :)

Caribana Longweekend
With the last long weekend come and gone, so has summer. It starts to dwindle down and you see back to school videos on youtube, commercials for school supplies and the weather starts to change.
No worries Fall is my favorite season so no hard feelings.
The last biggest weekend the city is abuzz with so many things to do.
I went to Caribana this past weekend, colouful, fun and great music. I wait for this all year.
A taste of the islands, dancing to the music and food.
Maybe one year i'll be apart of mass (being apart of the parade).
Also I went to a soca fete which is basically a soca concert.
I'll you need is a coke and rum and space to dance.
I had an amazing weekend.
If your ever in Toronto check Caribana out it is one of the biggest parades in Toronto.

Take Advantage of the Last Bits of Summer
Last week I went out with my girls to Centre Island. It's one of the easiest and cheapest getaways from the city you can do. Basically as soon as you step onto the ferry you feel like your on vacation.
We spent the whole day here and did quite a bit from canoeing, biking around the island, getting slushies and finally spending the rest of the day jamming to music on the beach.
It was such a relaxing day, made better by hanging in my bikini all day. My bikini top is from Aeries and the black bottoms are from Topshop.
Below are just some pictures of my day and the scenery on the island.

Catch it before it Goes
Just doing a little bit of reading before it started to rain and I had to go to work.
I just love reading new books and getting into the story and adventure, plus a beautiful day and a
comfy spot helps.
Enjoy your day.

Neon Tribe
On my days off I like to pamper myself and give my self the full salon/spa treatment.
Usually I make a face mask to help and treat my face after a long week or travelling and being in and out of different environments. I also like to give my body vitamins and different oils to give me that baby bottom soft skin and lastly I like to do my nails. Its a hidden passion and I really love the compliments I get, it makes me want to do even funky and crazy nail designs.
I currently have these fun neon tribal.
Its bright and catches the eyes.

Colourful Tomato Salad
Usually a quick snack during the day helps the hunger pangs until I eat lunch of dinner.
I have been trying to eat 6 small meals a day and so far I can see a difference in what I eat how I eat and my body.
For the salad I used a yellow and red tomato, cucumber and basil to make this quick and delicious salad. Instead of a heavy salad dressing I made my own by using olive oil, salt and black pepper.
YUM. I hope y'all enjoy!

Just Like Tumblr
I've been very bored lately and I have no ideas on what to post on this blog, so I decided to have fun with my photo apps on my phone and try to recreate this pic I saw on Tumblr.
I think the pic is better if you have light coloured eyes therefore you can see the depth of colour in the iris but I wasn't born with those lucky genes so my dark brown eyes will have to do.
Thanks for reading!

Tampa
Author: Alissa Nutting
Stars: 4 out of 5
This has been a very controversial book which makes it a lot more fun to read and gauge everyone's reaction.
Back of the Book
But Celeste's devotion lies elsewhere. She has a singular sexual obsession—fourteen-year-old boys. Celeste pursues her craving with sociopathic meticulousness and forethought; her sole purpose in becoming a teacher is to fulfill her passion and provide her access to her compulsion. As the novel opens, fall semester at Jefferson Jr. High is beginning.
In mere weeks, Celeste has chosen and lured the lusciously naive Jack Patrick into her web. Jack is enthralled and in awe of his teacher, and, most important, willing to accept Celeste's terms for a secret relationship—car rides after school; rendezvous at Jack's house while his single father works late; body-slamming encounters in Celeste's empty classroom between periods.
Ever mindful of the danger—the perpetual risk of exposure, Jack's father's own attraction to her, and the ticking clock as Jack leaves innocent boyhood behind—the hyperbolically insatiable Celeste bypasses each hurdle with swift thinking and shameless determination, even when the solutions involve greater misdeeds than the affair itself. In slaking her sexual thirst, Celeste Price is remorseless and deviously free of hesitation, a monstress driven by pure motivation. She deceives everyone, and cares nothing for anyone or anything but her own pleasure.
My Review
Celeste is a predator.
Her prey are 14 year old boys.
Her hunting grounds are the classrooms of Jefferson High.
She will stop at nothing to get what her wants.
Such a controversial topic for a book and must I saw it was such a good read. To get inside the head of a totally twisted person who is selfish and does stop until she has had her fill. The writing itself is very descriptive as if you are actually there as the affair starts. Such a sad end to Jack who has a whole life ahead of him.
The ending of the book solidifies Celeste twisted and selfish mind.
Totally would recommend this because it's not your typically book where you could guess the scenario it's keeps you guessing and reading till the end.

Alpine Snow
My sister loves long white manicures via Kylie Jenner. She has become a style icon and a fashion icon for many women of all ages.
I really have been liking this nail trend of long simple colours. I find white is one of the hardest polishes to apply it never has a great consistancy either its too thick or too clumpy.
A very unstated mani that catches the eye.
PS. Happy Canada Day to everyone celebrating. Hope y'all enjoy it.
Literally fours ago I started this blog, I'm very proud of it :) and myself for it's growth

Walima Cafe
I think everyone should try sometime new. I've made a pact this summer to do different things go different places and eat different things.
My first thing I've manage to check off my summer bucket list was Moroccan food.
I've been longing to try it for a while, especially tajine.
Yesterday I went to Walima Cafe on Avenue Road.
The mint tea was amazing, simple and sweet and came in the cutest teapot ever!
The food was so tasty the amount of herbs and spices and the lamb just fell of the bone and melted in my mouth.
I definitely want to eat here again. The experience was great.

Everything Insalata
My everything salad when there's nothing to eat and everything to eat. When you can't make a decision on what to put in your salad. It started out as a Greek salad and transformed from there. NOM NOM the best part is digging into this salad.
Currently watching the world cup on my day off and working out talk about multi-tasking.
Have a good day.
