Halloween Nails 2K14

Its been awhile since I've done nail art. I just wasn't inspired or had the time to try anything.
But with Halloween around the corner I had to do something fun for the holiday.
Each nail is something different - the thumb is a mummy, index is Frankenstein, middle is eyeballs, ring finger is a tombstone and pinky is a blood drip.
Fun and colourful

Welcome Back Boys!

Oh the best time of the year, skates are sharpened and the ice is smooth. I\m amped and so is the whole city, through disappoints and hope its clear  . . . . we all love the boys in blue.

Hockey is back in Canada and what a better way to start the season than with one of the best rivalries in sports the Toronto Maple Leafs vs Montreal Canadians.
Can\t wait to watch the game tonight.

Yes I do bleed blue and white and I\m proud.

Triangle Cutout

These nails were inspired by Kylie Jenners cutout triangle nails below.
But I added a twist to mine and made it colouful for the last days of summer. I used striping tape for the thumb and a pink stripper for the rest.
I got the best lighting this morning while I was enjoying my tea on the porch.

Decadence 2014

Last Thursday I went out to Guvernment to see David Guetta.
I always love a good rave and house music and Decadence 2014 was insanity!
It's basically a 5-6 hour rave you got the lights, fog, streamers and confetti.
It's crazy and everyone was having a good time.
David Guetta never disappoints and we we're right infront of the stage so David Guetta saw us going wild and pointed us out!!
Overall a very good night and I wouldn't change it, and summer is just starting for me!
Below are some pictures of the night, thanks for reading.

Easter Watercolour Nails

I'm posting these very late but here are my Easter watercolour nails. I wanted to try something different from the normal baby chick and Easter egg designs that I normally would have. This is a really simple way to get a colourful look on your nails. I started with dotting 4 pastel colours and smudging it around with saran wrap to get the desired effect. The best part is it looks like you put a lot of effort into it and it's not messy. A win-win! I used a matte topcoat to change it up.

Sheinside and Missguided Review

Shopping online has kind of become my new found love. I love finding deals and added different styles to my wardrobe that's not in store in Toronto yet. I've recently done some shopping online from two different stores Sheinside and Missguided. I read reviews before deciding to make a purchase. Many reviews I've read about Sheinside were not the best, some ranging from never receiving their purchase to bad service. Thankfully I had the opposite experience and will shop there again. Sheinside has fashion from Asia and there also a bit more ahead of the fashion trends than North America. Missguided is a online store more closer to home located in North America. They have cute finds for a good price and their sales are also really good. Both promise shipping of less than two weeks. I received both 10 days after I made my order. I loved what I got and they are true to size. Will definitely shop at both of these online stores again.

Chicken Diablo

Here is a new recipe I made up from everything I could find in my fridge.
Left over chicken is one of the best things you can have in your kitchen it's so versatile and can be made into anything and incorporated into any recipe.
Today I have my newest recipe inspired by Chef Micheal Simon, it's called chicken diablo.
I took leftover chicken added some veggies (anything in your fridge) and a sauce of you choice I used a bit of tomato paste and seasoning.
It's very versatile and can be curved to the taste you like.

Colourful Daisy Nails

I actually created these nails last year and I recently found the pictures and decided why not.
The fit with the theme of spring and Easter.
I used pastel colours and a toothpick to create the petals.
The weather in Toronto is crazy it was actually SNOWING yesterday. So much for Spring.
Thanks for reading and try out this cute design.

Toronto to the Bronx

Over the weekend my family went down to the Bronx to deal with some family stuff, I won't get into details but I thought here is an opportunity to get some pictures of the trip there. I got most of these pics from my cousin, sadly I couldn't go because I had too much school left to do since it's my last week of winter semester (Cheers for the last week of school!).
Above is the Brooklyn bridge, it was a very dreary and sad looking day.

Classy Nude Nails

Currently stuck in school till 5pm but I'd like to show you what I have on my nails right now.
I took a twist on the classic french manicure. This look is classy and sophisticated. The nude pairs really well with the black as they contrast. This look is very simple to recreate and you don't even need a nail art brush/striper to do it.
Im stuck writing a 2500 essay this suckssss! Wish me luck bye for now.

A surprise in the mail via Goodreads

I love getting mail, I love the surprise of opening your own mail and pulling out something new.
I recently was sent this from the author Christina Moore. I entered a contest on Goodreads to receive this book which I was sent before it's public release to review for the author. I love helping out a upcoming author and I love reading new books so its a win - win situation for those involved.
The book is called Beautiful Death, look for a future review or follow me on Goodreads for more.

Snakes and Lattes

It was my girls birthday and since we were all kinda busy but still wanted to hang for a bit. She decided to take us to this really cool restaurant on Bloor street downtown Toronto. It's called snakes and lattes. It's a really chill place were for $5 you can play any board game for as long as you want, have some lattes and kick your friends butts. Really liked it, it was fun and pretty cheap, they had hundreds of board game and the staff are down to Earth. Try this place out, you won't regret it.
