Korean Time

One of my food obsessions is Korean food, every time. It's the one food I an't turn down.
My friend and I went to lunch the other day on the west of Bloor street which is the heart of Korean town in Toronto. Some of the best and authentic dishes can be found here and for a cheap price.
I forgot the name of the restaurant but they have a lunch special which we got. Above is pork bone soup and below is a Korean pancake with all the fixings.
Such delicious and filling dishes.
Thanks for reading! :)

Cupcake Love

It has been incredibly hard to find time to post. School is so hectic and by the time I\m home i'm exhausted and ready to pass out for the night. Here is a sweet post. Hehe get it?!
I went to this cupcake boutique with my baby cousin and we tried one of each popular flavour. We have vanilla, chocolate, coconut and red velvet. Overall I've made better cupcakes, these were just a bit too sugary and hard. But thy look pretty. Thanks for reading!

Walima Cafe

I think everyone should try sometime new. I've made a pact this summer to do different things go different places and eat different things.
My first thing I've manage to check off my summer bucket list was Moroccan food.
I've been longing to try it for a while, especially tajine.
Yesterday I went to Walima Cafe  on Avenue Road.
The mint tea was amazing, simple and sweet and came in the cutest teapot ever!
The food was so tasty the amount of herbs and spices and the lamb just fell of the bone and melted in my mouth.
I definitely want to eat here again. The experience was great.

Eggplant Parmigiana

My first attempt at creating this delicious dinner. I saw the recipe on "The Chew" and I had to try it out. It's a simple recipe and easy to execute. Once you have assembled all the ingredients and soften the eggplant in a pan just slip it in the oven for 20 mins and go about your day. Very delicious and fast, definitely going to make this for dinner again.

Homemade Finger Foods Using Wonton Wrappers

With thanksgiving here in Canada I liked to try a new recipe each year and surprise my family when they find it it was homemade but looks like it was bought at the store. This i year I made quiche. Or at least my take on quiche. I used wonton wrappers and made different types of fillings in each wrapper finally to get the shape i put them in a cupcake tray to bake and keep its shape. And ta da! The final outcome, they look amazing and taste even better.
Thanks for reading and follow for more!

Greek Food Anyone?

With my lack of job comes a lack of money. As times become more rough and a little crappy I've had to become more creative with what I do have. As my weekly Sunday meals go I've was feeling something different besides the pasta or Asian recipes I usually try.
Long awaited I finally tried my culinary hand at Greek food. Surprisingly it turned out well and was actually quite simple too. I used ingredients that I already had in the fridge. The only difference is I had pulled pork with my rice pilaf and roasted potatoes. For this recipes simplicity is best. Its all about the seasoning and taste which I've learnt from watching WAAY too much Chef Ramsey shows.

Below is my Sunday meal I cooked, it tasted pretty much the same as Jimmy the Greek and Mr. Greek that i buy in the mall food courts.

Thanks for reading enjoy my post and tell what you think. :)
Rice Pilaf, roasted potatoes with tzatziki and pulled pork

Yum!

Midnight Sundaes

I went to a sleepover at my friends house this was 4 months ago before school got all hectic. We didnt go to sleep till 4 in the morning but we had the midnight munchies so we snuck downstairs. We made sure the coast was clear and we created our ice cream sundaes, it was like a undercover spies mission. But so worth it and this is what we created. I made a chocolate strawberry peanut sundae and my friend made a strawberry, chocolate sundae topped with sprinkles.

This is just a look at some of our wonderfully, tasty culinary arts. Enjoy and don't get too hungry :) .

What do you think of the food? Let me know.

Homemade New York Fries

Yesterday my friends came over and since we were both bored and hungry we decided to make something that both of us have been craving for a while. We both like to try out and experiment in the kitchen plus our parents what us to learn how to cook its kinda mandatory lol. When were both hungry as hell or super bored that's when the best food is made. So outta the blue we made our homemade version of "Veggie Works" at home. Tell me what you think of our recreation.

We started by cutting potatoes and you can either bake them or fry them. Then after it was done we simply added melted cheese on top with sour cream, tomatoes and green onions (chives).
And there'syour homemade "Veggie Works!"
