Book Review: The Gatecrasher by Madeleine Wickham

Just finished reading "The Gatecrasher" by Madeleine Wickham also known as Sophia Kinsella who writes the Shopaholic books. The book was really good and it was based on a gold-digger named Fleur. The book held every emotion from exciting to sad. It was very dramatic and I considered it a very good read. There are 296 pages of pure drama and suspense.

Armed with a closet full of designer black suits, the daily obituaries and a face that never betrays her 40 years, Fleur invades the funerals of the wealthy, enchantingly rich, grieving new widowers in need of a shoulder to cry on. She attends the memorial service of Emily Favour, whom she pretends was a long-lost acquaintance, and promptly lures the good-hearted Richard Favour into her web. Although his troubled daughter, Phillipa, and her crafty husband, Lambert, suspect serious gold digging, Fleur's beauty and charm dazzle them, and soon she's invited to live at the family estate in Surrey. What Fleur finds there is a gate-crasher's dream--a welcoming family, an accessible Gold Card and, after some snooping, a bank account worth millions. Even when Fleur's daughter, Zara, whom Fleur has neglected to mention, arrives unexpectedly from boarding school, the Favours make no fuss, welcoming the teen into the fold. As Fleur and Zara become comfortable with country club life, Fleur learns that she's not the only one scheming for Richard's money, and that Richard might not be as gullible as she thinks. But with Zara finally enjoying the stability of a real home, can Fleur leave so easily this time?

Summer T.V Land

Some times when I'm just lazy or tired I end up infront the T.V ready to watch some shows or sports.
Summer is the time when there are new series coming out and my current fav show is Pretty Little Liars for those who have seen the show know what it's about and those that don't here a synopsis:
The show is based on a series of books by Sara Shepard and basically what it's about is: there is the most popular clique in town then suddenly one day the leader Alison goes missing. A year later they find her body buried in her own backyard, now her 4 best friends now have a problem on their hands. All their most inportant, confidental secrets are coming out for the public to know and they must discover who it is and fast before they are all exposed. They get blackmailed and bothered through text messages etc, by a person named "A".

I really like the show it's better then gossip girl in my opinion(then again i rarely watched it) kinda like a desprete housewives for teens. I watch this along with my summer favs like Wipeout, America's Got Talent and So you think you can dance etc.

BTW>>> I CANT WAIT FOR VAMPIRE DIARIES TO START AGAIN AND GLEE!!!

I know I'm really bad with the t.v :P

Honda Indy 500

Well the sights and sounds of a Torontian summer are back along with that loud vroomm and zoom along Lakeshore and the Exbition. Today I went to check out the cars and the F1 racers who will be driving the streets of Toronto.

As the streets are cleared and car engines fill with gas it will be a loud wonder and sight as to who will win the Indy 500.

Overall beautiful cars and loud sound to be taken in at the Indy 500 this weekend!

Book Review: Frost Bitten by Kelley Armstrong

This is another installment of the Women of the Otherworld series, book 10.

The Alaskan wilderness is a harsh landscape in the best of conditions, but with a pack of rogue werewolves on the loose, it’s downright deadly.Elena Michaels, the Pack’s chief enforcer, knows all too well the havoc “mutts” can wreak. When they hear of a series of gruesome maulings and murders outside Anchorage, she and her husband, Clay, journey to Alaska in the dead of winter in order to hunt down the dangerous werewolves. Trapped in this savage, untamed winter realm, she and Clay learn more about their own werewolf heritage than they bargained for, tapping a little more into the wild nature of the beast within.

I have just finished reading this book Frost Bitten and let me tell you it's what I expected from Kelley. Sure there was a lot of drama and emotions but some parts were very slow. To be honest i was falling asleep in my hamock at some parts in the book but never the less the book doesn't dissapoint. It includes every thing from: sexy men, drama, murder, rape, crime, assault and love. It is another good read for the summer for those who are interested but overall not one of my favourites by her.

Urban Decay : NAKED palette!!

I love urban decay makeup my first time i ever bought makeup was from sephora in New York and it was the urban decay shadow box. I love it but that was a year and a half ago. I love the rich colour and the vibrancy of the pigment. Ever since it has been my favorite brand of makeup for there out of the box and colourful eyeshadows.

NOW the newest urban decay palette is out and selling online now, its the urban decay NAKED palette which has wonderfull warm neutral colours for the fall that will make any eye pop!

I dont know about you but i really want this palette and i suggest if you do too, you better get your's soon or it will be sold out in no time. For $ 44 and 12 different shades it's worth the money just for the amount of shadow that you will be getting, have fun trying this out!

Blackout and Summer School

Yesterday was a blistering hot day and where was i ...
once again i was in school. WHY? Cause i had summer school to attend instead of relaxing at the beach or beside the pool i had to sit in a hot humid class on a 35 degree day.
The day didn't get any better after i went to the mall , while i was coming home the whooole west end of T-Dot had a blackout. So there i was walkin home tryna dodge cars when i crossd the intersectiona and then when i got home there was NO air condition
sucks big time!!
Waking up early and with the added heat left me drained and tired by the end of the day.
