I'm back and with a review from BooHoo. I've seen these booties online everywhere and i had to get my hands on a pair. BooHoo gives the latest trends in Europe which is ahead in fashion compared to north america. I got these babies for $40 which is a steal. There are comfy and I can dress them up or down based on the place or event I'm attending. Boohoo has easily become one of my favorite online stores, for any event I'm attending or simply feeling the urge to shop this is the first place I head to find the latest trends.

Knitting Under the Influence
Author: Claire LeZebnik
Stars: 3 out of 5Back of the Book
When you're in your late twenties and nothing in your life seems to be falling into place, knitting is an awfully seductive way to spend your free time. After all, as long as you're following the instructions, you can knit row after row with the knowledge that the pattern will emerge and you'll end up with just what you wanted. Life, on the other hand, doesn't come with a stitch counter, so Kathleen, Sari, and Lucy, the heroines of KNITTING UNDER THE INFLUENCE, just have to figure things out as they go along.
Their weekly Sunday knitting circle is the only thing holding them together as Kathleen is cut off financially by her family and forced to enter `the real world' for the very first time at the age of twenty-seven, Sari finds herself falling for the man who made her life a living hell in high school but who now desperately needs her help, and Lucy finds herself torn between emotion and reason when her lab and her boyfriend are assailed by an animal-rights group.
At their club meetings, they discuss the really important questions: how bad is it, really, to marry for money if you like the guy a lot anyway? Can you ever forgive someone for something truly atrocious that they've done? Is it better to be unhappily coupled than happily alone? And the little ones: Can you wear a bra with a hand-knit tube top? Is it ever acceptable to knit something for a boyfriend? And why do your stitches become lopsided after your second martini?
In Claire LaZebnik's hilarious and sometimes heartbreaking novel, Sari, Lucy, and Kathleen's lives intersect, overlap, unravel, and come back together-the result is an utterly satisfying read.
My Review
It follows the lives of three women who are in their late twenties. The one thing that stays constant and happens every week is their knitting circle. Its predictable and I didn't know if I would finish it, but I did. Congratz to me.
But back to the book. Sari works with austistic children helping them to learn words and how to react to different situations. Her brother has autism so I assumed this is the reason for her career choice. She starts to help this kid named Zack whose father used to supposedly torture her autistic brother in high school. She hates him for that and uses that hate as a security blanket so she doesn't fall for him. He's pretty persistent and by the end of the book they fall in love.
Lucy works as a lab researcher her bf at the time James is a total douchebag and thinks he's always right. Her partner David has always have the hots for her (I know you can see where this is going) and after he buys her a kitten they start to get closer. She dumps her bf for David. And to imagine that story line took roughly 150 pages.
Lastly my fav story line was Kathleen. She is a triplet but unlike the twins she looks nothing like them. There famous for being twins and she feels no existent. So she moves out after a fight and discovers herself. She meets Sam who helps her with a place to stay and a job. Kathleen thinks that if you lands the bosses son Kevin who is rich all her problems will be solved. She dates him, becomes engaged and realizes the night before that she doesn't really love him and is actually bored of him. She develops feelings for Sam (I love their sarcastic relationship) at the end they get together knowing that its a huge risk but maybe the risk is worth it.

Toronto Imats 2014 Haul (Picture heavy)
This was my first year going to Imats, after reading a couple blogs I kinda figured what to expect and what to do to prepare myself. I got to the convention centre around 9:15am, the line to get in was moving pretty fast. Inside there were already insane lines for MAC which was 20% off, MUFE which was 40% and Nigel's Emporium which a ton of products. I made a list of things that I wanted but I also ended up getting some Christmas presents here as well for the people went with. I stayed till 11-ish by that time I was exhausted and I had had my fill. My motivate was to hunt down the booth that sold sigma which was an amazing deal I got two brushes F35 for $11 and F50 for $13 and the Ben Nye Banana powder which was nearly impossible but I did it. Below is my haul of things I got at Imats.
I really enjoyed my experience at Imats and I will definitely go again, its like an adrenaline rush and there is so much to see.
Some tips for people:
1. Get there early it gets packed fast
2. Make a list if you know what you want, makes it s much fast
3. BRING CASH - I cannot stress this enough
4. Bring water, it gets very hot in there and a bottle of water there cost around $3

The Aftermath
Enduring the first snowstorm of the year, it was bad but bearable especially having to go through that to get to work. We were way better than Buffalo who got pummeled by the snowstorm. This pic was taken before all the snow came down. I like the day after a snowstorm its always bright and sunny. Gotta love mother nature.

Korean Time
One of my food obsessions is Korean food, every time. It's the one food I an't turn down.
My friend and I went to lunch the other day on the west of Bloor street which is the heart of Korean town in Toronto. Some of the best and authentic dishes can be found here and for a cheap price.
I forgot the name of the restaurant but they have a lunch special which we got. Above is pork bone soup and below is a Korean pancake with all the fixings.
Such delicious and filling dishes.

OPI My Dogsled is a Hybrid

Today I have a swatch of OPI's my dogsled is a hybrid this is from there fall collection that I recently bought off of Nailpolish Canada.com.
I really think this colour can be used through the winter season as it approaches.
Two coats are shown here for opacity. I find the colour looks like a teal with more sea green mixed into it and it is shown is natural light.

Halloween Nails 2K14
Its been awhile since I've done nail art. I just wasn't inspired or had the time to try anything.
But with Halloween around the corner I had to do something fun for the holiday.
Each nail is something different - the thumb is a mummy, index is Frankenstein, middle is eyeballs, ring finger is a tombstone and pinky is a blood drip.
Fun and colourful

OOTD Ripped jeans and plaid
When im heading to school I love to be comfortable. My usually go to is a pair of jeans and a top its minimal effort and looks like i put effort into my outfit.
I recently fot these ripped jeans from american eagle, which was paired with a grey crop top from Urban Outfitters and a simple plaid top over.
Simple and clean. Add jewelry if you feel like it. I lik to add a long necklace and a ring keeping it kinda grungy.

Essie Take It Outside

Today I swatched one of my new nail polishes that I got recently. This Essie colour is from their new fall line. This polish is so easy to apply, you only need two coats for opacity. In the picture above it is the light grey colur on my PINKY. I find it a mix between taupe and dry concrete grey.

Nail Polish Canada Revew
In Canada their aren't many places that sell nail polishs and nail art decals for a deal, so for many Canadians opt to go online to find a bargain.
One popular website is Nail Polish Canada. After purchasing from the site I can say they have a large variety of brands, up to date on collections and the shipping is free over $25. I ordered on Tuesday and before the weekend I recieved my order. All the nail polishes wee well packed and secure.
Below is what I ordered - Essie Take it out side(fall collection), OPI my dogsled is a hybrid (fall collection) and seche vite top coat & restore. I made some swatches better and more details are on the way.
Overall I would buy from this store again fast shipping and good prices will keep me happy!

This past weekend was Nuit Blanche which translated to English means white night. It's an art festival of the cities artist and they showcase their art for the city to see. It starts from dusk to dawn and the city is alive. Also its a time for fun with friends, drinks and roam the city.
I had a good time with my friends, couldn't ask for better company. Below is some of the art I saw.

Welcome Back Boys!
Oh the best time of the year, skates are sharpened and the ice is smooth. I\m amped and so is the whole city, through disappoints and hope its clear . . . . we all love the boys in blue.
Hockey is back in Canada and what a better way to start the season than with one of the best rivalries in sports the Toronto Maple Leafs vs Montreal Canadians.
Can\t wait to watch the game tonight.
Yes I do bleed blue and white and I\m proud.

Cupcake Love
It has been incredibly hard to find time to post. School is so hectic and by the time I\m home i'm exhausted and ready to pass out for the night. Here is a sweet post. Hehe get it?!
I went to this cupcake boutique with my baby cousin and we tried one of each popular flavour. We have vanilla, chocolate, coconut and red velvet. Overall I've made better cupcakes, these were just a bit too sugary and hard. But thy look pretty. Thanks for reading!
