Halloween Nails 2K14

Its been awhile since I've done nail art. I just wasn't inspired or had the time to try anything.
But with Halloween around the corner I had to do something fun for the holiday.
Each nail is something different - the thumb is a mummy, index is Frankenstein, middle is eyeballs, ring finger is a tombstone and pinky is a blood drip.
Fun and colourful

Triangle Cutout

These nails were inspired by Kylie Jenners cutout triangle nails below.
But I added a twist to mine and made it colouful for the last days of summer. I used striping tape for the thumb and a pink stripper for the rest.
I got the best lighting this morning while I was enjoying my tea on the porch.
Thanks for reading! :)

The Last of Winter

Finally saying goodbye to the cold and those long icy nights. I can finally say it's Spring. This might be my last dark nail look for a while and follow the spring pastels.
I got the studs from ebay for $1, the navy polish is from Joe fresh and the periwrinkle and gold base are from china glaze. A very simple manicure.
Thanks for reading and follow for more.

Colourful Daisy Nails

I actually created these nails last year and I recently found the pictures and decided why not.
The fit with the theme of spring and Easter.
I used pastel colours and a toothpick to create the petals.
The weather in Toronto is crazy it was actually SNOWING yesterday. So much for Spring.
Thanks for reading and try out this cute design.

Turquoise stone nails

Currently on my nails is this eye catching design that I've gotten many compliments on. Its very simply to recreate as well. Simply pick a turquoise base colour then using saran wrap dot gold nail polish over (on saran wrap paint on gold nail polish), then use the marble effect to get the black on your nails and there you have it. Fun, colourful cute design for summer or any time of the year.

PS. Looking for fun ways to redecorate my room for the fall season, if anyone has any ideas please leave a comment. THANKS!

Tape nail art

This has to one of the most fun, simple and creative ways to get any type of design on your nails. The secret is with TAPE! You can creative the most vivid, shocking, eye catching nails that will make people round you think you went to the salon to get it done.

My sister and I simply cut the tape into tiny triangles and placed them where ever we wanted on our nails and below is the finished results.
Hope you all enjoyed this and try it out!

Nautical Sailor Nails

AHOY! How time flies its crazy! When i first started this blog i was still in high school wondering about my future and about the decisions i would make. What University to go to? What jobs can i get? What program/degree?
Since then life hasn't slowed down by its OK i take everything in stride. These days i learnt how to time manage and some what grow up because lets be honest everyone is a kid at heart.

ON TO THE NAILS!!
These nails are actually from last summer (completely forgot to put them up . . oops). They are my take on nautical sailor nails (i even had an outfit to go with these nails. How awesome is that!?!)
They were very simple to recreate and a lot of fun, plus they are girly and you are sure to get compliments on these bad boys. The beads are actually from the dollar store.

Pastel Striped Manicure

This is a very simple cute and girly manicure you can give yourself just by getting your favorite nail polishes. I choose these colour because not only do they go well together but also i really do love my blues, pinks and purples. To achieve this look I picked a base colour it can range from baby blue to lilac purple and then slowly start to I over lap to reach the look you desire. After each layer let the polish dry. And there you have it a cute girly summer manicure! Enjoy!

Dark knight rises nails

In keeping with the biggest movie of the year and celebrating the end of dark knight I have decided that I needed to have batman nails as my way of adding to the hype of the dark knight. It's been a killer busy week and I have one more ahead. But the positive is that people at my work loved my nails and so did the customers going to watch the movie so in a sense my work is done. Enjoy and tell me what you think! :)

Monday Mani : In To the Wild Edition

These are the simple manicures i did for my cousins. they loved it i went with the theme of into the wild and took things that remind me of Africa and the wild to put on their nails. The first one is my rendition of a orange zebra and the other is a mint and pink cheetah with gold spots. They loved it, the only thing i want to practise is how to make the zebra stripes more realistic.

Neon Splatter Nails

I saw this as a cute design for summer, but i had to try this as soon as i can. When i Googles nail art i never once saw this neon splatter so i might as well be one of the first (unless i didnt google hard enough :S)
This was a really and fun easy manicure to accomplish its just very messy.

These are the neon colours i used to get this look on my nails
This is what your nails will look like at first so make sure you colour the floor with newspaper and around your nail with tape to make clean up easier. To do this all i got were my nail polishes lined up and ready to use and then i got a straw to use to blow the nail polish on my nails. First i dipped the straw into the bottle directly and blowed the straw aiming at my nails. The faster you blow into the straw the less bigger blobs of polish you will get. in the end you will get a colourful and fun looking manicure.

Ruffled Fiesta Nail Design

With exam week finally done and written my last exam Friday I just had to do my nails. I've been through withdrawal the past week trying to keep focus on studying and not designing my nails.
So right after all of that I had to try a new design. I was inspired by chalkboard nails, when I stumbled across her tumbler and her beautiful designs. This design caught my eye and I recreated it but in my own way. I named these based on south America and the salsa dresses I've seen.

To do this simple nail design all i got were the colours i wanted to use and then i used my dotting utensil which in my case was the end of a bobby pin and started to put dots start across my nail in rows of colours. You contiune to do that and you will see the effect, its really pretty for the summer.
