Toronto Imats 2014 Haul (Picture heavy)

This was my first year going to Imats, after reading a couple blogs I kinda figured what to expect and what to do to prepare myself. I got to the convention centre around 9:15am, the line to get in was moving pretty fast. Inside there were already insane lines for MAC which was 20% off, MUFE which was 40% and Nigel's Emporium which a ton of products. I made a list of things that I wanted but I also ended up getting some Christmas presents here as well for the people  went with. I stayed till 11-ish by that time I was exhausted and I had had my fill. My motivate was to hunt down the booth that sold sigma which was an amazing deal I got two brushes F35 for $11 and F50 for $13 and the Ben Nye Banana powder which was nearly impossible but I did it. Below is my haul of things I got at Imats.
I really enjoyed my experience at Imats and I will definitely go again, its like an adrenaline rush and there is so much to see.
Some tips for people:
1. Get there early it gets packed fast
2. Make a list if you know what you want, makes it s much fast
3. BRING CASH - I cannot stress this enough
4. Bring water, it gets very hot in there and a bottle of water there cost around $3

The Aftermath

Enduring the first snowstorm of the year, it was bad but bearable especially having to go through that to get to work. We were way better than Buffalo who got pummeled by the snowstorm. This pic was taken before all the snow came down.  I like the day after a snowstorm its always bright and sunny. Gotta love mother nature.

Korean Time

One of my food obsessions is Korean food, every time. It's the one food I an't turn down.
My friend and I went to lunch the other day on the west of Bloor street which is the heart of Korean town in Toronto. Some of the best and authentic dishes can be found here and for a cheap price.
I forgot the name of the restaurant but they have a lunch special which we got. Above is pork bone soup and below is a Korean pancake with all the fixings.
Such delicious and filling dishes.

Halloween Nails 2K14

Its been awhile since I've done nail art. I just wasn't inspired or had the time to try anything.
But with Halloween around the corner I had to do something fun for the holiday.
Each nail is something different - the thumb is a mummy, index is Frankenstein, middle is eyeballs, ring finger is a tombstone and pinky is a blood drip.
Fun and colourful

OOTD Ripped jeans and plaid

When im heading to school I love to be comfortable. My usually go to is a pair of jeans and a top its minimal effort and looks like i put effort into my outfit.
I recently fot these ripped jeans from american eagle, which was paired with a grey crop top from Urban Outfitters and a simple plaid top over.
Simple and clean. Add jewelry if you feel like it. I lik to add a long necklace and a ring keeping it kinda grungy.

Essie Take It Outside

Today I swatched one of my new nail polishes that I got recently. This Essie colour is from their new fall line. This polish is so easy to apply, you only need two coats for opacity. In the picture above it is the light grey colur on my PINKY. I find it a mix between taupe and dry concrete grey.

Nail Polish Canada Revew

In Canada their aren't many places that sell nail polishs and nail art decals for a deal, so for many Canadians opt to go online to find  a bargain.
One popular website is Nail Polish Canada. After purchasing from the site I can say they have a large variety of brands, up to date on collections and the shipping is  free over $25. I ordered on  Tuesday and before the weekend I recieved my order. All the nail polishes wee well packed and secure.
Below is what I ordered - Essie Take it out side(fall collection), OPI my dogsled is a hybrid (fall collection) and seche vite top coat & restore. I made some swatches better and more details are on the way.
Overall I would buy from this store again fast shipping and good prices will keep me happy!

Nuit Blanche 2014

This past weekend was Nuit Blanche which translated to English means white night. It's an art festival of the cities artist and they showcase their art for the city to see. It starts from dusk to dawn and the city is alive. Also its a time for fun with friends, drinks and roam the city.
I had a good time with my friends, couldn't ask for better company. Below is some of the art I saw.

Welcome Back Boys!

Oh the best time of the year, skates are sharpened and the ice is smooth. I\m amped and so is the whole city, through disappoints and hope its clear  . . . . we all love the boys in blue.

Hockey is back in Canada and what a better way to start the season than with one of the best rivalries in sports the Toronto Maple Leafs vs Montreal Canadians.
Can\t wait to watch the game tonight.

Yes I do bleed blue and white and I\m proud.

Cupcake Love

It has been incredibly hard to find time to post. School is so hectic and by the time I\m home i'm exhausted and ready to pass out for the night. Here is a sweet post. Hehe get it?!
I went to this cupcake boutique with my baby cousin and we tried one of each popular flavour. We have vanilla, chocolate, coconut and red velvet. Overall I've made better cupcakes, these were just a bit too sugary and hard. But thy look pretty. Thanks for reading!

I just wanted to make a quick post about lunch today, I sent this pic to my cousin and she told me it looked like it came out of  Chatelaine magazine. So i thought hey why not post this beauty. Its a simple aAsiansalad of my own creation. It has croutons,  spinach leaves, red and green cabbage and some edamame beans to top it off. Cute packaging

Quick post today.
I love how Aritzia packages their shipments. One of the cutest and unique packages I've gotten thus far. This is from a couple weeks ago when Aritzia had their end of summer sale. One of their best sales I might add lots of nice things and for really good prices and the best part they almost always have sizes. Thats it for today. It's pretty grey out and I have to go to work .... sucks but what are you going to do.

17 First Kisses

Author: Rachael Allen
Stars: 4 out of 5

Back of the Book
No matter how many boys Claire kisses, she can’t seem to find a decent boyfriend. Someone who wouldn’t rather date her gorgeous best friend, Megan. Someone who won’t freak out when he learns about the tragedy her family still hasn’t recovered from. Someone whose kisses can carry her away from her backwoods town for one fleeting moment.

Until Claire meets Luke.

But Megan is falling for Luke, too, and if there’s one thing Claire knows for sure, it’s that Megan’s pretty much irresistible.

With true love and best friendship on the line, Claire suddenly has everything to lose. And what she learns—about her crush, her friends, and most of all herself—makes the choices even harder.

In her moving debut, Rachael Allen brilliantly captures the complexities of friendship, the struggles of self-discovery, and the difficulties of trying to find love in high school. Fans of Sarah Ockler, Susane Colasanti, and Stephanie Perkins will fall head over heels for this addictive, heartfelt, and often hilarious modern love story.

My Review
I managed to read most of the book in one sitting, such a fun and well written YA book.

I like how the book bounces between present situations of the new crush of Claire and her past kisses and problems following every boy she ever kissed from since second grade.

Claire learns in her last year of high school the pact she made with her best friend to do something different may have backfired for her. She fights for the new guys attention and after initially losing the battle she gets him, but the cost is her best friend. Claire starts to realize that maybe the guy wasn't worth the friendship, her family learns that shes going to the rival school instead of following in the footsteps of her mother and father. Towards the end of the book her entire family has healed from losing her baby brother after 11 months of life.

I like the book and I ate the story up. Plus I'm a sucker for happy endings and she makes a pact to date her long time best friend Sam after they graduate college.

Hitting Pan with Revlon Nearly Naked Powder

For the first time I've hit pan. I'm pretty happy because this is one of my go to, never fail, never leave the house (only when I'm wearing makeup) products. I have crazy oily skin that gets oily by just walking outdoors. So to keep my face matte all day long I have my trusty powder. It was my mom who actually got me into powders, and it has stuck with me ever since. The fact that the powder is tinted means on lazy days I don't even put on tinted moisturizer or foundation on my skin.
I guess it will be time to get  new one but until then i'll use this sucker until there's nothing left.
Have you ever hit pan on any product before? if so what was it?
